SMS TEXT MESSAGING TERMS & CONDITIONS

By opting in to receive SMS text messages from Law Offices of Steve Schneider & Associates, PLC (“the Firm,” “we,” or “our”), you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Program Description

Our SMS messaging program is used to communicate with existing clients regarding their legal matters. Messages may include appointment reminders and confirmations, case status updates, return call notifications, and other general client communications related to your representation.

2. Opt-In and Consent

By providing your phone number and affirmatively consenting through our client intake form (paper or electronic), our website contact form, or verbal consent during a consultation, you agree to receive recurring SMS text messages from the Firm at the phone number you provided. Consent is not required as a condition of retaining our legal services.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on the activity of your legal matter. During active representation, you may receive approximately 1 to 5 messages per week. You will not receive messages for marketing or promotional purposes.

4. Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply to messages sent and received, depending on your mobile carrier and wireless plan. The Firm is not responsible for any charges incurred by your mobile carrier.

5. Opt-Out

You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message from the Firm. Upon opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message. Opting out of SMS messages will not affect other methods of communication with our office, including phone calls, email, or mail.

6. Help

7. Supported Carriers

Our messaging program supports all major U.S. mobile carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint/T-Mobile. Service availability may vary based on your carrier and location.

8. Privacy

9. No Legal Advice via Text

Text messages from the Firm are for informational and scheduling purposes only. Text messages do not constitute legal advice. Do not send confidential or sensitive case information via text message. For substantive legal communications, please contact our office directly by phone or schedule an in-person appointment.

10. Disclaimer

The Firm is not liable for any delays or failures in delivering text messages caused by your mobile carrier, network congestion, device incompatibility, or other circumstances beyond our control. Text messaging is provided as a convenience and is not a substitute for other forms of communication with our office.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued receipt of text messages after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated by text message or other appropriate means.
